In 2010 electricity generated by PGE Capital Group from renewable energy sources constituted ca.11% of all electricity generated from such resources in Poland.
Within PGE Capital Group, investments in the development of renewable power generation are managed by PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A.
This company manages 29 of 36 hydro power plants belonging to the PGE Capital Group and one wind farm. The company's mission is the generation and supply of electricity by means of environment friendly technologies based on primary energy sources and biogas.
Besides investment implementation, the company actively participates in the promotion of renewable energy sources and hydro power development programs.
