Since 6 November 2009 PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. has been a public company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Holding 85% of all shares, the State Treasury is PGE's major shareholder. The remaining 15% of shares is held by the other shareholders.

The Company's shareholders are represented by the General Meeting. The competence of the General Meeting comprises all matters specified in the PGE Statutes [Articles of Association], in particular the adoption of resolutions on changes in the Statutes, changes in the scope of business activities, mergers, transformations and demergers. The principles of convening the General Meeting and its procedures are specified in the PGE Statutes.
