Within the framework of the consolidation process currently underway in the PGE Capital Group, tasks related to the integration of the retail sales companies have been entrusted to PGE Rzeszowski Zakład Energetyczny S.A. based in Rzeszów. PGE Dystrybucja S.A. based in Lublin (to be established on the basis of PGE Dystrybucja Łódź-Teren S.A.) will be responsible for the integration of the distribution companies, while PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A. based in Warsaw will manage the consolidation of the renewable power companies.
The Management Board of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. announced its consolidation project in May 2009. It provides for the establishment of 6 business lines: Conventional Power Generation, Nuclear Power Generation, Renewable Power Generation, Retail Sales, Distribution and Wholesale Trade.
In July 2009 the PGE Management Board chose PGE Elektrownia Bełchatów S.A. as the entity responsible for the integration of companies belonging to the Conventional Power Generation business line.

PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. is the largest power engineering company in Poland and one of the largest such companies in Central and Eastern Europe.
