PGE Receives Vector 2009 Award for Stock Exchange Debut

On 9 January this year during its annual reception the Confederation of Polish Employers handed out their Vector 2009 Awards.

With this award, the Confederation honours individuals and institutions whose activities in various sectors of the economy may serve as models of business effectiveness and reliability. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. received the award for Europe's largest and most successful stock exchange debut in 2009.

The competition's jury rewarded the company for its "success in  hard times", i.e. a successful debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the achievement of good financial results in a period of economic slowdown as well as prospective investment plans stimulating the company's development.

The President of the Confederation of Polish Employers handed out the Vector Award to Mr Tomasz Zadroga, Management Board President of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA.

The Vector Awards are regarded as certificates of quality and effectiveness; and guarantee their winners recognition in Poland's business community. They are highly valued not only in  economic circles but also in  political, cultural and media ones.

Awarded since 2002, the "Vector" statuette has acquired prestige and recognition among Polish entrepreneurs.
