The tournament will take place in Poland's six cities between 7 and 20 September this year.

The EuroBasket 2009 matches will be played in six cities: Poznań, Gdańsk, Warszawa, Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Łódź and Katowice. Jointly, more than 170,000 basketball fans will have a chance to buy a ticket to watch their favourite teams. All 54 matches of the EuroBasket 2009 will be broadcast by Poland's public TV. The final match of the championships will be broadcast live on TVP1 channel, while TVP2 will show all of the Polish team's matches .
