PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna and GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas have signed a Memorandum concerning nuclear power industry cooperation. The cooperation aims to investigate the possibilities of using ABWR and ESBWR reactors in the  first  nuclear power plant to be built in Poland as well as the future industry cooperation opportunities.

PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. has been recognized again for Europe's largest and most successful stock exchange debut of 2009. The company has been awarded the statuette of the Bull and Bear by the Parkiet economic daily.

On 19 February PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. presented estimates for the PGE Capital Group's consolidated financial results for 2009. The Group's net profit reached the amount of PLN 4.2 billion, which was a 58% increase over the financial result for 2008.

On 28 January 2010 the National Court Register entered in its records a new company: EJ1 sp. z o.o. with the registered office in Warsaw.

After the session of 19 March 2010 shares in PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. will enter the Warsaw Stock Exchange's WIG20 blue-chip index.
